The welcoming ceremony of a newly born child is perfumed with the traditional ‘Aarti’ that has religious lyrics. At festivals like the ‘Navraatri’, the lyrics are typical with innovations every year.

The songs from the Indian film Industry, Bollywood are an integral part. The Bollywood songs are elaborate and lavishly filmed. The lyrics of the movie songs are based on the particular situation of the film. The songwriter writes the lyrics keeping in mind that frame of the storyline of the movie.

Pakistani music features many diverse elements that include elements from other parts of South Asia in addition to Central Asian folk music, Persian music, Turkish music, Arabic music and even some recent influence from American music. With so many influences, Pakistani music has become a fusion of many sounds that results in a distinct Pakistani sound.

When it comes to Hindi songs you typically think of snake charmers with simple musical instruments that play simple musical tones. Fifth are Bollywood songs or film music. This is music that you typically see in films or on television. Lastly are Pakistani pop songs which became popular along with the privatization of Pakistani television.

Pakistani pop songs have exploded onto the world scene in recent years and have become much more popular than English songs in some movies. One example of Bollywood songs making it into the western film audience is the song by Najane Kyun which was the featured single on the soundtrack for Spiderman 2. This album made Indian pop songs successful throughout the world and won three awards. It is artists and music like this that is bringing Indian pop songs to the attention of people throughout the world who never used to focus on Pakistani music before.

Many mp3 songs now focus on a Pakistani influence. Three popular international singers today from Pakistan include Ali Azmat, Josh and Natasha. In some countries these singers are even doing better than English songs and Hindi songs. And it’s no wonder since Pakistani music is drastically different from Hindi songs. This is why Pakistani music is the most popular form of Indian pop songs today. In the 21st century, Pakistani pop music is continuing to increase in popularity, more than other genre singers. For those of us located in the Western portion of the world, we often think of all things Eastern as being very similar to each other. However, when you are talking about Indian and Pakistani music, movies, and music videos, nothing could be farther from the truth.

One glaring example of this difference is the music videos made in India and Pakistan from their popular film soundtracks. While both types of music play a big part in the movies of the countries, India’s Bollywood songs and the music of Pakistan are very different indeed. Pakistani songs generally contain much more meaning and less of the typical Bollywood overly melodic dance numbers and sounds in their songs. This can easily be seen in the online music videos of both regions.

While viewing online videos of Bollywood songs and Pakistani songs you can clearly see differences in the two. Bollywood songs tend to have more skin showing in their videos than do those of Pakistani songs. This is a direct result of the fact that Bollywood movies are much more tolerant of the showing of skin and sexual overtones than those made in Pakistan. The Pakistani people tend to be much more traditional in their views than those of current day India.

As well, while watching online videos of both you quickly notice that where Bollywood songsare overly dramatic and have production dance numbers in them, Pakistani songstend to contain more of a meaningful storyline. The Pakistani musicand video makers have their own style which does not rely on large dance numbers to get their point across to viewers.

With the explosion of the Internet, and the ease of availability of online videos, it is much easier today for people all over the world to view music videos and listen to the songs coming out of both India and Pakistan.
